just a quick note here that I found this on the internet earlier:

It was just on some message board about concerts. pretty funny. Also today when at the super market I saw someone wearing a Soda shirt! awesome. If anyone is up to it.. were all going to the Allen Theater tomorow night (tonight I guess since its so late) to see the Revolution X wrestling!!!! Its $10 for 10 fights PLUS bands! How great. I actually got to see Soda tonight (in person) while we worked on the artwork for the CD, and I got the COMPLETE run down of the near future, and heres what I know: We should be sending everything off on tuesday to have the CDs pressed for real! The art is almost all done, and all the songs have been mastered and song order has been chosen. (go to the music section. I uploaded samples of all 10 songs. most fade out after a minute or so.. but theyre all there) Next I got the CORRECT list of upcoming shows and also you should know that the next VEGAS trip planning has already begun. Were also going to play at the next Wrestling night at the Allen Theater! Dont know when it is.. but I cant wait. So Ive now added 7 new shows to the SHOWS section, check them out. Other than that, we worked on new flyers and Im getting the site organized slowly for the next batch of updates, including the MUCH requested BAND MEMBER BIO's. Seriously. I think it will consist of pictures of all of us and what Clif bars we like.. but you asked for it.. so ..

Im seeing Soda tonight to ACTUALLY finish the OFFICIAL Cd artwork which will be sent off to the presses on monday. Really. supposedly. Im actually liking our current hand-made cd things that weve been selling, but it will be nice to have REAL cds with barcodes and shrink wrap and all that fancy stuff on it as well, plus it will be mastered and in the right order! So, try and make it to as many of those upcoming shows as possible.. cuz I hear we will have some new songs. So far I know just as much as you do about them though... so it will be an adventure Im sure. seeya

Im not sure why.. and Im not complaining about it or anything.. but someone just emailed me photos from the Galaxy show.. but only of Faye and the merch table. Last nights show at the Galaxy was a complete success! We had a nice soundcheck and the show went off as smoothly as this band can play it. It was kinda short, at only 30 minutes, but the crowds response was great and we sold lots of Cds and shirts and stuff. It was good for us to play somewhere completely new where NO ONE knew us at all to see how people would like it. The stage was also real big with all these lights and stuff were not used to. (except for soda who was a rock star)(is?)Anyway, we all had a ton of hot dogs and burgers and chips and stuff back at my parents house after the show and it was just really a great night all the way around. I saw some pictures being snapped.. so when I get those Ill post them up. And I think we even got a board-tape of the show from the sound guy, which I will upload when I get it.

As far as I know our next upcoming show is JULY 8th at the DERBY here in LA. That seems like a very big gap between shows for us, but maybe that means we will have a practice! (possibly the first one in months...) And that means the possibility of new songs too.. who knows.

haaaaaaaaaapy birthday lady. last night was real fun. good show. you missed it. oh well. come see us this saturday at the galaxy. Im going to post a show on July 8th at the Derby now wich looks like it will be a fucking great show. Were playing with the Waco Tragedies..and theres rumor of.. 2 cent penny... idaho falls... this might be one of the best shows ever. We need you there to make it great though, is a big place. dome-y. more later..

so the Galaxy show was confirmed today and we have tickets for sale! Were supposed to be selling them for $15, but if you email me matt@sodaband.com , I can sell them to you for $10. We will be trying to sell as many as possible before Saturday. I know its a pain to drive 40 minutes south, but the venue is AWESOME and I really think the other bands are going to be so great that it will be worth it for all of us. If you really cant make it, you need to help us with the next one.. get this:

!!!BATTLE OF THE BANDS!!! BB Kings Blues club (at the universal fucking city walk) , you know we NEED to win this one. Good or bad, we have the LOUDEST rouwdiest fans in the world and we need you to come beat up the other bands fans. I know you can. Its this coming Tuesday, June 22nd. After the bad time I personaly had there last time, Im going to make sure that this shows is ridiculous. my promise.

And lastly, dont forget about Kevins Big Ass Birthday Party this wednesday night at the Thunderbird Saloon. Bring him food with his name on it. thats just what you do. see you there!

Sorry that I didnt get last nights show up in the shows section in time, but it was still a great big crowd and an excelent show at the Thunderbird Saloon. We will be playing there again this coming wednesday night with our friend Grants band. Its probably free or really cheap, so be there. And for you more adventurous fans, or out of towners... we are playing at the Galaxy Theatre in Costa Mesa this saturday. This is going to be a GREAT show. Its a big place with great sound and the other bands will be amazing as well. Its only $10 bucks so try and make the trip if you can. Its about 50 minutes south of LA. One last note: Ive been stockpiling pictures and flyers and stuff lately, and will do a really big site update very soon in the art section and who knows what else. So check back for that. ok bye.

more shows you say? ok... heres one. TONIGHT, Tuesday June 8th, 9:30pm, Tangier on Hillhurst in Los Feliz. FREE. I know its last minute, but I got the call only an hour ago myself and ILL be there. so you should be too. Also last night during our set at BB Kings, Soda announced that we are playing the Thunderbird Saloon this coming Saturday night. So since I heard friday from one person and saturday from another.. Im still waiting for exact confirmation before I post it to the shows section. but tonight is ON.. that I know. nice fancyish place, usualy good sound, Id go.

Thanks to Newt Briggs of the Las Vegas Mercury for writing a great article on our Double Down show on friday. Although I would like to add to it that we had EIGHT people playing that night, we really appreciate such a glowing review . If anyone living in the Las Vegas area has one of these in print we would love to have a copy to scan in.

As usual, last nights show at Room 5 was great. We even got to sit down and eat the delicious food there before we played. man, that was good. And the show and sound and people there were all good. good good. ok. So dont forget about tomorow nights show at BB Kings Blues Club at the Universal City Walk. And also dont forget that when we say 8pm SHARP, we mean it. I think I kinda overheard earlier today that we are playing at the Thunderbird Saloon in North Hollywood again this coming friday. When I know for sure, Ill put it up on the shows page. Until then, dont forget to watch your cartoons tonight. bye.

Weve only been in town for a few days and were back on the wagon already. I dont know if that sounded right. the point is that we have 2 shows coming up this week! First come join us at Room 5 on La Brea this saturday night. Its probably our favorite place to play in LA and Im guessing that this show will be packed! Then were playing at BB Kings Blues Club at the Universal City walk. I was told that if we do well at this monday night show, they will book us for larger weekend shows, and the stage and sound there look to be amazing so it would be great if you would all come out to support us. Its a 5 dollar cover, and I hear that there is a FREE parking lot, so you might want to contact the club and ask them about that. Their number is in the SHOWS section. And lastly, what happened to the message board?! Im gonna post some vegas pictures there later today and I want to hear from everyone. good morning!
